Privacy
Jhatka has no accounts, no forms and no ads. Here is everything it keeps in your browser and everything your browser fetches.
What stays in your browser
- Your colour theme and whether you prefer the table or tiles.
- The last exchange rates fetched, so the calculator works offline.
- An offline copy of the site and of the documents you open.
None of it is sent anywhere. Clearing this site's data in your browser removes it.
Exchange rates
To show today's rates, your browser asks ExchangeRate-API (open.er-api.com) for them. Like any website, it sees your IP address when it answers. Their terms.
Analytics
This site currently uses Google Analytics.
When analytics is on, it counts visits and which features are used: for example that a calculation was made, with the amount rounded to whole dollars, the currency and the province, or which source document was opened. Jhatka sends these services no names, emails or account details; it has none to send. The services themselves may set cookies and see your IP address, as their own policies describe: Google, Plausible, Cloudflare, Microsoft Clarity, Umami.
If your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control, no analytics loads at all.
Documents and logos
The bank schedules, rate cards and screenshots are kept unchanged so anyone can check each figure against the original. They and the bank and wallet logos belong to their owners.
